I am using Windows XP and new trying table scan turbo and i am trying to use it for my pokerstars name. Every time i click to scan it says i have no database selected and then when i click to manage databases and then click "Add new database" a box pops up with a host box, port box, username box, and password box all filled out and then i click get database and it says could not get database. so idk what to do or what i am doing wrong...

To get stats from a database, you need to add your Holdem Manager, Poker Tracker 3, or PokerStrategy Elephant database to TableScan. If you don't have one of those database applications, then here are the links:

www.holdemmanager.net (http://www.holdemmanager.net)
www.pokertracker.com (http://www.pokertracker.com)
www.pokerstrategy.com/software/9/ (http://www.pokerstrategy.com/software/9/)

And then you need to import your hand history files. Once you have imported hand histories, the database software will build statistics on all the players who participated in those hand histories. The stats TableScan uses are just the most important ones, heres a brief description of what they mean: http://www.tablescanturbo.com/faq/#4 (http://www.tablescanturbo.com/forums/../faq/#4)

If you don't have a lot of hand histories you can supplement your database with observed hand history files from a site like www.thepokerhh.com (http://www.tablescanturbo.com/forums/newreply.php?do=newreply&noquote=1&p=555)
