View Full Version : Table selection - number of Multitabler
is it possible, when sorting tables after the number of players with only 1 table open to discount the regulars? What i mean is:
Tables should be listet under the apect of how many players play on it with only 1 table playing but if the player is known as a regular he should not be counted as one of them. sorry i am not a native speaker.
in the advanced settings under "define" i defined a category #of tables 0 to 1 and i would like to add that if a player is a reg he should be discounted - is that possible? if not you shold include it :)
thanks for your answers

Well it's not possible at the moment, but if you just use it the opposite way, just using the "multi-tablers" column, and look for the tables with a low # of multitablers(instead of looking for a high # of single-tablers), then you wouldn't have the problem, because you wouldn't want the regulars to be excluded. I will think about your suggestion though, I don't know how i would implement it
no the problem is that sometimes regulars just begin playing and are only found at one table. Now that i manually choose the tables i can sort those tables out but if you plan to implement a feature to automatically choose the tables for us players this should be implemented.
For example under "configure" - "advanced settings" - "define" i defined a definition of 1tablers (#of tables from 0 to 1) and it would be great to ADD the condition: if player is reg please discount...

Ok I understand what you're saying and I think its a good idea, I will think about how to implement it. I'm thinking if I do something to automatically open tables, it will be based on the table score or the # of fish or # of buddies, so if I put something in the scoring to make it so that any regular is -10(or whatever you want it to be), then that would kind of do the same thing you're requesting
well ok. but remember, that some of us dont use their pt3 databank ingame because if i would i couldnt play because of the delay. i tried but it doesnt work. good hands were folded because it took too long to scan my hole databank. so ingame i scan without my dadabank only choosing the tables with most 1-tabler.
ohh wait...the # of fish and or buddys doesnt need that much resources right?
sorry for the confusion and thanks again!

By the way, if you turn on the option in TableScan "Scan results from player cache only", all that lag will go away instantly. Go to Databases > Manage Databases > Edit Database and it is a checkbox at the bottom of that window. But in order for this to work correctly, you need to update your player cache in PT3 housekeeping every time you import, or at least if you want the latest import to update the stats displayed in tablescan.
PT3 doesnt automatically cache its database during import like HM and Elephant do for some reason, so that is what causes the lag, if you scan someone with 20,000 hands, your computer is actually adding up the results from 20,000 rows in the database. If you choose the cache, its adding like 4-5 rows instead for the same player, so its instant
thx updating the PT3 cache worked great!
