Hey there, I've used your software during the beta phase and am pleased how well it works (crossing fingers for Pacific 888 poker support :P). But noticing that you plan to charge this program when it comes out of beta for the same price as table scanner from HM. With the two software doing almost similar features what makes yours stand out from HM built in app? I haven't used the one from HM and only used your software once, so thought if you had a secret ace under your sleeve that you haven't implemented in the beta yet...

What encouraged you to create your application, knowing there was another being sold? I was about to purchase table scanner from HM but lurking in their forums the support is extremely lacking, but you sir... i like how you work!

I think even if table scan turbo had less features, but was updated frequently with the forum posts and such, it looks like the better tool in this case.

Doesn't help I hear HM table scanner has a lot of bugs... but turbo scan is in beta and everyone is happy with it! Bravo Sir!

Thanks!

When I started writing this software 2+ years ago, there were two table selection tools, sixth sense(the original) and spadeeye. Sixth sense was pretty expensive and it was mostly server based, but their servers were always having problems. Spadeeye was extremely slow and hard to use. I was playing on FTP and at the time there was only the FTP "classic lobby", and the FTP client was extremely fast, about 3x faster than it is now, in the sense that when you clicked on a table, the player list would load instantly. So I felt like I could make something way faster, and on the old FTP it was very easy to figure out how to scan the tables. So I made a tool just for myself and I was getting about 5 tables per 1 second on FTP, compared to spadeeye which I would get about 1 table every 2 seconds, and spadeeye would freeze up during the whole scan too. When I sent my tool to my friends, they were all blown away and told me I should sell it, so there's the story of why I started it :)

Since then, sixth sense has shut down (i think), and the developer of spadeeye has basically stopped supporting it as he moved on to develop HM's scanner.

Anyways, I think if you try them both you will see that TableScan Turbo in fact has more features for everything, here is another thread about it where I talk about it more:
http://www.tablescanturbo.com/forums/showthread.php?t=214

And yes I do have some huge features I've been saving for the last minute, as well as some smaller ones, which should all be revealed in the next week or so when I finally get this next update out :)

To Opening poster, all i can say is that this is a fantastic bit of software and the help and support has been fabtastic.

I sent an e-mail a couple of days ago to let them know of am unsupported skin and it has already been added and updated .

That has made my decide that i will definately be pruchasing the retail version as and when it is released.

The time and effort that has obviously been put into this deserves the support back from all of us that have used it.

Hi!

I have also been using this software for almost one year now. I don't want to wait till the release, I think I'm just about to make a donation, as I might also have a feature request. :)

Cheers!

I have table scanner on HEM. I just purchased it thinking that since all the stats are tied to HEM that table scanner would be great.

I still use Table Scan Turbo. One main reason is that server side scanning sucks on TS, and the other is when using client side, you have to wait for the scan to finish before you can open tables. By then the tables have changed, people are sitting at them before you can select them. With TST, you can open the tables while it's scanning. I usually play 22 tables and have scanned and am sitting at 22 within 3-4 minutes tops, most of the time 2 or less. With HEM, its not even done scanning the tables yet.

So I guess it comes down to what you are looking for in the software. I was MAJORLY let down Table Scanner.

Thanks for your post Lunatic, hopefully some people will read it and not waste their money :)

I have a feeling when I finally start selling TST, that some people will go and buy HM scanner, they'll assume because HM is a big company and HM database is a great software that their tablescanner should be good too. But as you said, they will be very disappointed, it's just another 3rd party tool, whose developer hasn't improved it at all in over a year, gives no support, and is barely fixing it when sites do updates :(

Anyways, I will be adding server side scanning shortly after I start selling, just so you know. And I promise it will be much less of a delay and not suffer from the many problems that HM's server side has. The programming for it is easy and mostly done, but it needs a big investment into buying all the computers to scan, so I've been waiting till I start selling it before I invest a lot more money. I have a lot of other ideas for new features and improvements, too :)

Your software already scans so fast, why do you need server side scanning?

Yea you can say that again, about the customer service for Table Scanner....

The one thing you should focus on is getting the player "labels" into your software without having to enter each one manually. Total pain in the ass. But if we could import them from a list, it would make it much easier.

I also purchased tablescanner for HEM and find it much slower than TST.
Needless to say I have cancelled my subsciption, TST is a great program and wished I had found it sooner.

Thx very much:)

Well, I think some people want server side scanning, since it doesn't use your lobby to scan, it's a bit more efficient. I have some other ideas for it too :)

I did add in a recent update the ability to import buddies from a line delimited txt or csv file, it's in configure > buddy list at the bottom left. I think you can export a player list from HM's player list, then you could import it to tablescan as buddies

Amen...there is a god!

Edit: Spoke too soon. Just tried importing the list from HEM. After selecting the file, no one is added.
