Whats most effective way to use this? I added a buddy but when I do a tablescan, there's nothing different about tables that that person is on? Some lil icon somewhere I am missing?

There's an icon next to the player's name, and it adds a fish to the table. Also if you turn on the "# of Buddies" column in the Table List it will show you a count of the buddies at the table

So if I add someone to my buddy list and select them as a fish, it will now show a fish on that table as per my buddy list?

Yes, that's right :) Just right click the player's name and choose "add buddy" or "add whale", and that player will get counted as a fish

I have five fish definitions...but when I play my table has what I consider to be a fish...but they're not defined at the table....so I've been adding them as buddies.
Are my definitions off?
Thanks

It's hard for me to say without seeing your settings myself, there's no way to turn off fish definitions, except like maybe setting a minimum # of hands that's way too high. Do the players meet the conditions you have set up in Configure > Fish definitions?
